New Mommy Gift Pack

With so many of my friends having babies it's nice to keep mommy in mind too!  For every friend of mine that is a new mommy I love to put a little gift basket/bag together for them.  I added little notes on sticky tabs to each item to make things a little more personal.

  • Travel Bleach wipes - I love these, perfect for a quick wipe when out with the little one.
  • Hand Sanitizer- I have one attached to my stroller, Bath & Body works has a great selection.
  • A book on what to expect the during the first year - It's nice to have a quick reference to refer to.
  • A Baby Developmental DVD - In a pinch and need to take a shower, & need something to entertain the little one.
  • Extra Thank You notes - Great for any unexpected gifts or help that may come along the way.
  • Pads - You're going to need whether your having the baby natural or a C-section.
  • Disposable Nursing Pads - You're going to need them even if you're not breastfeeding.
  • Chapstick - Hospitals are dry.
  • Travel Shampoo, Conditioner, & Body Wash - Perfect for the short hospital stay.
  • Coffee Shop Gift Card or Via Pack - A little pick me up for those sleep less nights.

I love making gift baskets with special little touches.

Having a child is one of the biggest blessings in life; it's one of the most rewarding, challenging, and gratifying things in life.  That's why when one of my friends is expecting I love putting together creative little gifts for them; especially the ones that are expecting their first.

Cellophane Bags are just awesome.

I love giving baby gifts in baskets because the baskets act as gifts themselves.  It's so nice to be able to throw all the loose stuff in something and stick it up in the closet, make a diaper station, or toy collector.

I purchased the little duck at Michael's.

I stuffed these little things in the duck.

A few key things that I put in this basket are:
  • Bottle Brush - they're going to need more than one.
  • Shampoo & Wash
  • Lotion - Calming ones are great for before bed
  • Bath Toys
  • Hooded towel
  • Baby Vicks
  • Board Book
  • Multi-Textured Ball
  • Freezer Teether
  • Stroller toy
  • Baby wipes - I used them as the bottom layer to build the basket up.

Handmade Items:
  • Stroller Blanket
  • Beanie
  • Baby leggs
What's in the duck:
  • Soothies - These pacifiers are great!
  • Nightgown - With fold-over sleeves to prevent scratches
  • Travel Baby Sunblock
  • Travel Baby Wash
  • Travel Baby Washcloth
  • Travel Spoon & Fork
